Filling up my dance card
This year has started out kinda slow but things are picking up. On Friday, I’m meeting with a few nice people and their dogs from NEADS at the Maynard Public Library. I had an opening and talk last Saturday with a big turn out. Some people from NEADS couldn’t come so they asked if I could meet them on another day. This Friday, I’ll meet them there at 4. All are welcome. If you’ve never met the NEADS dogs and their handlers, you really should. They are a great organization.
At the end of the month, I’ll be heading down to North Carolina for a special dog event and talk. I’ll be doing a workshop on how to get better photos of dogs. I’m starting to get a little nervous about it but it will be fun. I just have to get all my materials together for the talk.
It’s also weird that I’m going there as a celebrity in a small way. I’m the guy who made the Black Dogs Project book. It’s should be this major thing but I don’t feel any different and my life hasn’t changed that much. I have gotten recognized on the street though so that was kinda cool.
Once I get back, I’ll have some black dog photos at a local Gallery, Gallery 7, here in Maynard. They are doing a fundraiser show in April to help Buddy Dog. I’m glad that I could help make this event happen. It will be a great group of artists involved. Pretty excited for that. It’s been a while since I did any kind of gallery show.
If you’re around these areas, let me know. I’m always happy to meet with people.
